If not listed below, there is a very good chance that I have worked with a platform very similar. And if not in my core wheelhouse, I have a large network of highly qualified experts I will bring into the project to support our campaign goals.

START ON THE RIGHT FOOT


No offense to the lefties…but you don’t get “a second chance at a first impression” with your potential customers. I will take the time to make sure I understand your business from top to bottom. Then, my strategy will be thoroughly comprehensive to ensure I’m not only attracting the right leads but are building the support to bring them all the way to paying customers.

Not only do I build on your own business’ historical data, but will research key competitors and industry movers to make sure I’m learning every corner of your business and the entire lifecycle of a customer. Typically, we will focus on the low-hanging fruit first, implement optimizations to the complete customer journey, analyze their results for best efficiency, and repeat the process of driving more leads through the funnel. A collaborative roadmap will be set up at the beginning of our partnership but it is never, “set it and forget it”. I will continue to review and modify the strategy to ensure we are flexible and adaptive.

I know how important making the right partnership decision can be, I’ve been on both sides of the table. Available as much as you need to establish trust, let’s jump right in and let me take the reigns.

WHAT TO EXPECT WORKING TOGETHER

COMPREHENSIVE AUDIT

Expanding on the initial audit, I will start to look behind the curtain and understand your business. I will work to ensure our first steps are directly correlated to achieving the goals you want. Commonly, there are other elephants in the room to address once I start to dig. Steps will include:

  • In order to learn the full story and provide the greatest value, deep access into the business is crucial. Without hard analytical data, the strategy will be based on best guesses…and you can expect the same amount of value in return.

    In combination with homework laying out your ideal customer and product/service (who they are, where they live, what are they searching for, what is an acceptable CPA, etc.), I will start to lay out gaps and focus areas priorities.

  • Once we both have had the opportunity to get up to speed, we will schedule a kickoff interview to understand the deeper nuances. This could be a single 30-minute meeting for more straightforward campaigns, to several individual and team meetings with other key decision-makers and stakeholders for more complex business structures.

    Not only am I looking to uncover what marketing and sales tactics you have tried in the past but understand the nuance of your team and start to build a positive working relationship.

  • Along with all the internal research that will be completed during the audit phase, it will be essential to understand your positioning in the market and how we can best stand out from the crowd.

    Analyzing top industry players and key competitors, I will work to uncover what design, channels, and keywords we need to be competitive with and where we can bring unique ideas no one else is trying. Depending on your specific industry, this work can be done in a day to a couple of weeks including a thorough secret shopping comparison campaign.

  • Compiling all the results from above, I work expeditiously to get this information laid out as clearly and concisely as possible. From here, I will highlight those focal points, what needs to be improved, and what changes we are looking to affect to the business.

    Working collaboratively, we will decide what is most important upfront and what can be pushed to “Phase 2” priorities. Time to build our Roadmap…

STRATEGY & ROADMAP

No business is exactly alike, so no strategy should be identical as well. Completely customized to your business, a short-term and long-term roadmap will be laid out to review. They will include a variety of services to ensure we are improving areas of the business which matter most.

  • Now that I have compiled baseline benchmarks for the current business, we can get set SMART goals for those metrics.

    Items such as keyword volume, keyword ranking, search impressions, organic traffic, bounce rate, time on page, conversion rate, email open rates, click-through rates, average sales cycle, average CPC, and CPA optimization are some of the metrics I would focus on.

    However, if there are other key metrics that you would like to focus on (increasing social media following, expanding to a new location, introducing a new service, preparing for a major PR push, prepping for a finance raise), I’m ready to conquer them.

  • While design and website projects have a very defined list of deliverables, digital marketing projects can be more of a moving target.

    All project deliverables will be reviewed based on their importance, level of effort, timeline to execute, and the potential effect on the business. Prioritizing tasks between short-term wins and long-term growth will be helpful in making sure the results and relationship stay strong.

  • While I’m prepared to jump on all outstanding deliverables, many teams have other team members who are capable, willing, and sometimes assigned to completing particular tasks.

    I love working collaboratively with internal team members and other freelancers to ensure our work doesn’t overlap and everyone’s time is respected. Need someone to pick up a project midway? I’m ready for that as well.

  • Now that our shopping list is complete, we will settle on an agreeable timeline. This will include standalone deadlines and dependants (items that need to be completed before I move on to the next project).

    While a variety of these projects will have immediate results, other deliverables may take crawling bots and search engine algorithms time to index. I will also set some approximations on when we can expect to see results from those efforts as well.

EXECUTION & REPORTING

It is time to roll up our sleeves.  Unlike many agencies, your work will never be offloaded overseas or completed by bots. Extra time will be dedicated upfront to ensure the project drag on before you actually see measurable deliverables and results. A few things that I can promise are:

  • With all this pre-planning, I will be ready to get started off to the races. My goal is always to finish ahead of schedule cause the quicker we can finish, the sooner you can see results.

    Weekend Warrior - need a project finished ASAP, I’m also available to dedicate nights and weekends. Beyond the standard 9-5, I’m available when you need me.

    Shared project status trackers along with weekly status review emails are available upon request.

  • I will never hide behind meaningless metrics regarding the success of our partnership or campaign. While monthly backlinks and blog posts are important for building domain authority, I will be sure to focus reporting on the real metrics you care about - leads, customers, average customer value, CPA, and customer LTV.

  • Reporting can be delivered in any format that best fits your business. From custom reporting dashboards in CRMs to high-level basic monthly email check-ins, I will deliver results and reporting in a complete, yet concise way that best fits your business.

    I will be sure to include the details that really matter most and keep the fluff in my back pocket.

  • A campaign is truly never over and I can promise to never place our partnership on “auto-pilot”. So many agencies rely on automated digital marketing software and third-party AI content generators or overseas unengaged writers, that your monthly investment starts slowly getting less and less effective.

    My promise is to always have more ideas and projects in the queue so we can continue to plan for the future and adapt as your business enters new and bigger phases.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • I’m flexible when it comes to payment options based on the complete scope of the project. If the project deliverables are relatively consistent month over month, or you are bound to a fixed budget, then a monthly retainer will provide the best value. However, if the project scope is more open-ended, agile buckets of hours will be more appropriate.

    Agile buckets are pre-paid buckets of hours that can be applied to any services offered by Digital Crema. They never expire and burn rates will be provided based on our sprints and stand-up meetings.

  • Absolutely! There will be a variety of tasks and items we will need to verify before we do so (ownership of the domain, ownership of copy/content, ownership of imagery, etc.) but this can be a great way to take back control of your website and focus on what is important.

    For many of those plug-n-play industry website solutions, you are getting a carbon copy of another business’ website (highly frowned upon by Google algorithm’s duplicate content penalties), and marketing consists of automated local SEO software and robot-generated blog posts. Chances are no one looks at your website for more than 15 minutes each month.

  • While experienced running a wide variety of social media campaigns and content teams, at this time, I currently only offer social media audit, strategy, and advertising. Content production, daily posting, and comment management are not something I currently offer internally.

    However, depending on your industry, I do have extremely high-quality social media managers in my network and we could work collaboratively to ensure the branding/messaging/strategy aligns with the rest of our campaign. Happy to make an introduction!

  • I have no minimum monthly agreement for digital marketing services. I’m confident in my work and sure that my work ethic, communication, honesty, integrity, and breadth of knowledge will make sure your decision will not be in vain.
